Wisdom Tooth
Besides the common tooth extraction, the next most common oral surgical
procedure is the removal of wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth have the
potential to cause infection resulting in pain and discomfort. Most of
the time, the wisdom tooth is removed under local anaesthesia and
patients are given medical leave to rest at home. As we are a Medisave
Accredited Institution, we can assist you with your Medisave claim.
Dental Implants
The dental implant is probably the best option for tooth replacement
offering durability and aesthetics. The titanium-alloy implant is
biocompatible and surgically placed in the gum as an excellent support
for the replacement tooth. This is a quick and safe procedure done under
local anaesthesia. Once the implant post is firm, a porcelain crown is
placed over the post. The result is a tooth that feels and looks
natural.
Management of Oral Lesions
Persistent mouth or lip ulcers may cause pain and interfere with eating
and speaking. Occasionally, there may be white or red “patches” on the
tongue or inner cheek lining. These conditions should be assessed by our
oral surgeon who will able to advise you on the appropriate management.
